RÂȘNOV-ACCOMMODATION IN HOLIDAY HOMES AND COTTAGES! January 31, 2021
Râșnov-accommodation in holiday homes and cottages!
Come to Rasnov!
An invitation to discover a beautiful place, full of history, far from the unleashed world but so close to the most famous tourist attractions in the country.
Wherever you come from, an old fortress watches you from afar, from its mountain ridge. Even now, the Râșnov Fortress does not miss anything that moves in this corner of Ţara Bârsei. It's not trivial. This worthy guard has been doing his job well for almost 800 years. More precisely, since 1335, from its first documentary attestation. It is a fact: the Dacians were the first to have fortifications here and the Romans followed.
At the crossroads of old paths
Strategically located on the trade road between Transylvania and Wallachia, the fortress of Rasnov withstood many sieges. Only once, in 1612, its defenders, the peasants from Râșnov and its surroundings opened the gates of the fortress due to the lack of water. After that moment, they dug a well over 150 m deep in the rock. You can see it walking on the cobbled streets between the wind-blown walls of the fortress. You can listen to the wind and the legends of the place from a local guide. The old and thick walls once protected not only the community of Rosenau (Valley of Roses in German) but also all its possessions. Imagine the roar, the rumble, the commotion when the invaders appeared and everyone was in a hurry to take shelter here!
They used to come upstairs with all their possessions, grain and all kinds of supplies. For yes, this fortress was built, defended and used by the peasants. They would shelter their cattle here, crowding them in the Fence, taking refuge behind the insurmountable walls. Then they closed the gates and fought the attackers for their lives and property! Dramatic moments from long gone times...
The Hunters' Chalet
We are much more favored. Peering into the quiet views, we can leisurely admire the captivating beauty of the area! The sky seems closer, nature is wild, the mountain air energizes. In this exceptional natural setting, of course, the idea to book a special holiday home is a good one. We recommend a chalet with a suggestive name, Hunters' Chalet. Hidden on accessible mountain roads, Hunters' Chalet is like a piece of heaven. Here you will find peace, fresh, clean and ozonated air and relaxation just as much as you wish for. Strategically located on the Glăjariei Valley and guarded by the Bucegi massifs and Piatra Craiului, Hunters' Chalet is a refuge for you and your friends. This mountain accommodation away from prying eyes is ideal for slightly larger groups. The facilities with which this holiday home is equipped are appreciated by all, as well as the privacy offered and the generous garden. You will see that the air is fresher, the slice is deeper, the sky and the stars seem somehow closer here, you feel you can almost touch them! You will realize that the decision to book this holiday home was the best. And you will surely return!
Adventures in the realm of dinosaurs
The Râșnov Peasant Fortress, which has become a top tourist attraction in Romania, is not the only reason to visit the town. Certainly, the little ones will intensely appreciate Dino Park, the land of adventures and fun in the vicinity of Râșnov. The largest dinosaur park in Southeast Europe, Dino attracts with its route of 100 life-size dinosaurs, all friendly. Children's playgrounds, tree-lined houses, a 9D cinema and a 360 ° cinema, the adventure routes delight little visitors. Not far away, Valea Cetății Cave wants to reveal its secrets, kept for too long hidden in the depths. For this area of captivating beauty you can quickly book a holiday home or an authentic mountain cottage with a single click.
Crown of cities
Within a stone's throw of Rasnov there are other attractions not to be missed. The first on the list is Brasov, probably the most beautiful city in Romania. Here, walk leisurely through the historic downtown, looking at the pastel houses, with lingering "eyes" watching from the roofs. Do not by-pass the Black Church and the route "under the walls", still guarded by the strong bastions of the guilds. You can even hike up to Tâmpa, there are not many cities in the country where you can test this. Up and above, Brasov will lie at your feet, even if you took the cable car. Very close to Râșnov, the legendary Bran castle still catches the attention of all and stirs the imagination. You have to cross its threshold, walk through the royal chambers, scrutinize the horizons, listen to his story ... It costs nothing to imagine what it would be like to choose accommodation at a holiday home dedicated to blue-bloods! What would it be like?
